About Ayadi 4040 Association
Ayadi 4040 Association was founded in 2001 through the efforts of a group of philanthropists in Alexandria, It has carried out multiple activities to support those in need, funded from its own resources, such as:
- Sponsorship programs.
- Repairing homes damaged by floods.
- Providing free treatment in private hospitals.
Ayadi 4040 Cancer Hospital
Work on establishing the hospital began in 2004 to provide free cancer treatment for underprivileged patients, The hospital officially started operating in January 2005 after installing the first linear accelerator for radiotherapy at a cost of 10 million EGP at that time, It is also considered the only hospital in Egypt that treats skin cancer using radiotherapy.
Since its opening, the association has treated more than 68,800 cancer cases, including:
- Chemotherapy.
- Radiotherapy.
- Emergency services.
- Inpatient admissions and palliative care.
- Intensive care.
- Advanced services such as PET-CT and Gamma Camera.
- Early detection of breast and prostate cancer.
Continuous Development in Medical Equipment
The association has invested in developing the hospital to include:
- 5 linear accelerator devices for radiotherapy worth over 15 million USD.
- A PET Scan device (the first in Alexandria).
- A CT Scan device.
- Early breast cancer detection equipment.
- A Brachytherapy device (internal radiotherapy), the only one in Alexandria.
Medical Staff and Healthcare Services
Ayadi Hospital has contracted with 30 university professors and oncology consultants in Alexandria to provide free medical supervision for underprivileged patients, The hospital also established an inpatient unit that includes:
- 45 beds.
- 5 intensive care unit (ICU) beds.
- 20 beds dedicated to palliative care for advanced cases that other hospitals unfortunately refuse to admit.
